WhatsApp is one of the most-used social media applications in the world. A recent study shows that the messaging application ranks third behind Facebook and YouTube. In addition, the study also reveals that WhatsApp has 2 billion monthly active users while Facebook and YouTube have 2.96 and 2.2 billion monthly active users respectively.

Using WhatsApp is fun but sometimes breach of privacy occurs. For instance, someone on your contact list might add you to a group without your permission. You must have found yourself in a WhatsApp group without knowing how you got there. Well, that is one of the downsides of the application.
However, there is a solution. You can stop all the people on your contact from adding you to WhatsApp group or select a few people that can.
Follow the steps below:
- Open the WhatsApp Application on your phone.
- Go to Settings
- Click on Privacy
- Select Groups
- Click on “My Contacts Except…”
Now, you can either click on all your contacts or select a few that can add you to a WhatsApp group or WhatsApp Groups. If you click on all your contacts, none of them will be able to add you to a WhatsApp group.
