The new Apple iPhone 15 is set to be released in September and it comes with some improvements. After months of rumours and leaks online, Apple has announced that the new set of iPhone 15 will be released on September 12, 2023.
The “Dynamic Island” feature is anticipated to be included in both the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. For the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, a stylish titanium finish might be in the offing. Notably, the photography prowess of the iPhone 15 Pro Max could be taken up a notch with the incorporation of a periscope lens, suggesting enhanced zoom capabilities.
Additionally, the Pro models might introduce an Action button, potentially replacing the conventional Mute switch button of iPhone 15 smartphones will be launched at an event on September 12.
Aside from the launch of the iPhone 15 smartphones, Apple will also introduce a new series of the Apple Watch Series 9, poised to succeed the existing Series 8 model. Furthermore, keep an eye out for the refreshed iteration of the Apple Watch Ultra.
Check out some of the most noticeable changes on the iPhone 15 series below:
1. Instead of using stainless steel, there are speculations indicating that Apple might make a shift to titanium this year. This transition is expected to be seen in the frame of the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models. In contrast to stainless steel, titanium offers a combination of being lighter and more robust.
However, it’s important to note that working with titanium is more challenging, which contributes to its higher cost compared to stainless steel.
2. The A17 chip will be an exclusive feature of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models. Meanwhile, the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus variants are expected to continue utilizing the well-known A16 chip, similar to the high-end iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max devices.
3. All the iPhone 15 variants will come with USB-C connectivity. Nevertheless, the execution of this change might not be uniform across the lineup. It’s speculated that the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models could offer enhanced data transfer and faster charging capabilities, whereas the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus variants may feature comparatively slower speeds.
4. The iPhone 15 will come with a periscope camera which will improve picture and video quality greatly. The periscope camera employs a prism within the smartphone’s chassis to extend the distance between the lens and the camera sensor, bouncing light and creating a magnification up to five times that of the main camera. This technology enables smartphones to retain their sleek design while delivering powerful zoom capabilities.
5. The Pro version of the iPhone 15 will be available in Red Colour. Other colours expected to be in the Apple iPhone 15 series include Midnight, Starlight, Green, Light Yellow, and Pink.
